This dedicated analysis centre, located specially by the side of the pitch, boasts space for 24 players and coaches to use in the vicinity of the pitch, and includes a large 70 inch LED Screen for presentation purposes, and 2 large wall-mounted whiteboards.  

The Analysis Centre will be used by teams across the club, from Age Group Squads to Performance Squads, to take both team and individual player development to the next level by providing more opportunities to review match footage in greater depth and detail in and around training sessions with the option to also use in match situations as required in conjunction with our VEO match analysis software and Uddy TV footage. 

“The opening of the Analysis Centre at the club is an exciting thing to shout about; it is rare for hockey clubs to have a designated space just yards away from the pitch for the purpose of analysis, and for us to be able to open this space will be a significantly positive step in further developing match and player analysis at the club. This space allows us to take our analysis to the next level and provide an elevated level of support for coaches and players alike.” Gareth Ikin, Director of Hockey at Uddingston Hockey Club, shared. 

Alongside the Analysis Centre being used to elevate the level of analysis at the club, the club will also be launching an Analysis Academy to work in two ways:  

• To create, develop and give experience to those that have an interest in becoming a hockey analyst with view of growing our own. 

• To develop the clubs coaches in the area of video analysis, by providing opportunities for coaches to develop their analytical skills and enhance their support to their squads to enhance the quality of coaching across the full club. 

This Academy will be lead by our Director of Hockey, Gareth Ikin, with the first sessions of the Academy commencing to fall in line with the second half of the season.
